Many more for your viewing at the West River Gallery
Whimsical
– fun! Oh what it would be like to finally get the old relic started,
the smell the steam and the oil spilling out on the manifold. Wow! And
then to be able to slip it into gear and move. Man! And then to get some
friends aboard for a RIDE! Don’t you love it? Absent
the friends, I do this same thing most every day going to the Gallery.
This piece is large and exudes the whole experience of the Ride.
The simple black frame has a nice old style gold fillet liner especially
chosen to compliment this very charming piece. |

What
a magnificent face! A talented and colorful local actor’s image
becomes even
more profound once it is so nicely framed and matted. A perfect accent anywhere
that the human spirit is celebrated.

The
first time I encountered the artist’s name, I thought there must be a
relationship to Warren or Jimmy but au
contrer. But it’s Gwee
Boofay. Dinner
is served by your very own private waiter. A perfect piece for any
informal eating area. The presentation itself is very refined though
with neatly carved letters in two complimentary acid free mats and
finished with the best of black metal frames. Another
Buffet entitled “Martini Yes” is nicely framed and ready to bring a
smile to everyone’s face.

This
is the most comforting and serene cow country piece ever. The artist
hales from Utah but captures the west perfectly in so many ways. This
piece is all acid free, triple matted and nameplate and “open V
groove” to set things off. The top mat is a shimmering green with
hints of gold. This is the
perfect piece to hang wherever a peaceful, calming atmosphere is being
encouraged. Several
other Duncan prints are also nicely framed. Loose prints are also
available to be designed just the way you want it.

A
rarity indeed! If you are familiar with limited
editions, you know that someone like Terry Redlin might have one of
29,000. Not here! The original was sold at the annual Stock Show art
auction along with all 25 of the prints on the spot. Here you have one
of those 25. Original price of the unframed print was $500. This
piece honors some of the key people who contributed so much to the Days
of 76 Rodeo in Deadwood, SD over the years. There is Eddie Rypkema, Russ
Madison, Ezra Bachand, Lew Keehn, Bud Bowen, Rosie Ridley, Pat Roberts,
Chief David Bald Eagle and Bat Ridley. Along
with the nicely framed main picture shown here, there is a small
companion piece that outlines who’s who.

Ron
Holyfield and his artist wife Kay Williams are great artists who hale
from Tennessee BUT for the last fourteen years or so, they have spent ¼
of each year right here in the Black Hills of South Dakota. Each of
those years, they have been the Artists in Residence at Custer State
Park Game Lodge all summer long! This
is one of our cats found now so often in the Hills. Is is triple matted
with antelope suede on top. The frame is a beautiful, rustic and unique.
Other prints are available in the gallery for both of these fine
artists.
