Many more for your viewing at the West River Gallery
Del
Iron Cloud is a prolific artist who resides in Rapid City and has
created art forever. I particularly love his clouds in the skies over an
open range, his depictions of buffalo are legendary as well as the
challenge he presents to viewers of his art to find the often used
hidden images. The
gift from the hills – is it coming from the mountain man or elsewhere?
This is beautifully rendered conceptual piece from a brief time long ago
where trust in others ruled the day. Everything
is acid free with UV control and triple mats. The frame is a nice
comfortable pine. There are eleven other nicely framed Del Iron Cloud
Original paintings and signed limited editions to choose frm.

This
eye catching decorative piece was created by stacking several large
Prado frames rich in its brown color with intriguing gold highlights.

Coming
to us from Newcastle, Wyoming just across the state line, Denton
originally was originally a New Yorker practicing the daily grind of
graphic arts. He
and his art then went on to Santa Fe where new facets were added in.
This piece nicely depicts a mysticism that comes from within. Denton’s
paintings are always in the works. Much of the final image comes from
within the canvas and from the interactions of the pigments. An
interesting piece With
a large old honey oak frame made from old church interior woods.

The
bold strokes and the multiplicity of color draw your eye and wonderment
to this mystifying piece. Its just great! Dennis
comes with a hugely talented family at his side and all around him all
of the time. Don’t try to find out where the energy for his art comes
from, but it’s there all of the time. The fantastic forest just came
out of him and here it is for all to see and wonder about out loud. The
frame is two small frames stacked together to wonderfully accent the
art. There are 7 other framed Linn pieces in the Gallery

There
are all kinds of art that evoke different thoughts from us. Good
humanities courses teach us this. Unfortunately, humanities as well as
civics classes have been largely eliminated from student offerings. The Cheerleaders
by artist Andrea Potts pre-supposes that everyone has knowledge about
humanities and civics and can then take in what the artist offers up. Drea,
as we know her, lived in Rapid City for about 5 years before moving on
to Madison, WI several years ago. One other piece - a framed linoleum
etching is available in the gallery.
