One of the toughest things to do is to design a custom framing project without having both the designer and customer present to interact and discuss. (In fact, it's a little like trying to get a hair cut over the telephone.) When a project is in the design stage, it's extremely helpful to look at the specific image or work of art. That's a given and we understand.

That being said, when you have a project or series of projects that we can work on, simply go to the Contact Us page and ask for Project Design for a free estimate. We will be in touch to obtain information and develop your initial estimate.

At the Black Hills Frame Shop, there is a wide range of selected moldings numbering in the thousands. They include familiar names and those not so familiar like Larson-Juhl, Nielsen, a wide variety of ovals, barnwood, and many others. Virtually all work is completed with conservation matting from Crescent Bainbridge, Artique and Tru-Vue.

A professional designer will review your estimate with you. The next step is to consider any design alternatives and changes. The designer will work with you on that until the final design is arrived at.

When you choose the Black Hills Frame Shop to proceed with your project that is truly wonderful! Your art should then be forwarded via the U.S. Postal Service, UPS, FedEx, or your carrier of choice. In some cases the art may come directly to the frame shop from the artist or printer. At other times, the art will come from a single location and the finished pieces distributed from the Black Hills Frame Shop to anywhere you like (example: gift giving, corporate distributions, distant recognition awards, etc.) You decide where you want it delivered to!

When we receive the art, it is received for final review, and additional alternatives will be considered and discussed. Once accepted, we ask for a deposit of 50% or full payment may be made with cashier's check, personal check, VISA, MasterCard or Discover Card. Shipping and handling fees are in addition to the project cost and are the responsibility of the purchaser once projects are completed.
